Note on Coronavirus

Glück Auf Kumpels!

the local authorities told us to inform our visitors about the behaviour to the Coronavirus around the Mega event. Of course, we understand the concern about possible infection with the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19). The health and safety of our visitors, helpers, artists and all contributors have our highest priority; be aware that we too are attached to our health! We are therefore closely monitoring the current developments in our environment and are in constant contact with the “Stiftung Zollverein” an with the health department of Essen.

However, there are urgent recommendations to use simple hygiene measures to prevent or limit the spread of a virus as much as possible. These recommendations also apply in the case of “normal flu”. If we all adhere to the following hygiene regulations, the virus has no chance to look for a new host!

Please inform yourself here: https://www.bundesgesundheitsministerium.de/coronavirus.html    !
More hints  and links can be found at the end of this information!

  • The operators of the locations were warned to pay extra attention to hygiene!
  • There will be posters of how to behave best!
  • Don’t be afraid to point out anyone’s wrongdoing!

Should there be a recommendation from the authorities, or in our opinion, that we shall cancel our event at short notice, we will do so.

Everyone is, of course, responsible for his own health, but also for the contagion of others! If you notice signs of a (grippal) infection, give others the chance of a nice, carefree  event. Please call your doctor or a hospital; do not go to a waiting room without prior consultation, the risk of infection is much greater for yourself with weakened immune system!

Does it really matter on every GC point of statistics? Health has the absolute priority!

We hope that we have been able to take away your fear and look forward to welcoming you to our events. Please BYOP – with your own pen you can sign every logbook virus-free!

yours Anton
